This simple-to-use donning aid can help you put on your hosiery in an easy and convenient way. Helpful Hints:
- Compression garments are easier to put on when you first get out of bed, before swelling occurs.
- Remove rings and jewelry that could damage your garment
- Use gloves (rubber or vinyl) to help position the garment on your leg
- Make sure your skin is dry before putting on your hosiery
- Avoid rolling or bunching the fabric as this will create too much pressure in specific areas
- Apply moisturizer to your legs (or arm) in the evening - not just before putting on your garment
Instructions for Use:
- Slide your foot into the slippie
- Using Donning Gloves, ease the stocking over the foot, heel, and calf (or thigh)
- Ease the stocking up the leg with a massaging motion
- Remove Foot Slip by pulling it out of the open toe of the stocking

Our Certified Fitters recommend Donning Gloves always be worn when applying your compression garments. These gloves have a gripping texture that makes it considerably easier to put on compression hose. Donning gloves also help to prevent tearing, snagging or putting a nail or finger through the garment. This is especially true with the sheer compression hosiery. Sigvaris has rubber donning gloves that are highly recommended and also a new Latex-Free glove. Jobst and Juzo offer donning gloves and donning aids such as the Juzo Slippie Gator.
Many of our customers love Alps Fitting lotion. ALPS 100% Silicone Fitting Lotion Skin Conditioner for Sensitive Skin leaves a smooth, silky feel to sensitive skin that is chapped and dry. When used before putting on stockings, ALPS fitting lotion helps prevent snags and facilitates donning of compression garments.
